Rare Antique Early Patent German 19th Century, c.1880’s Wolf’s Brass Miners Safety Lamp Click images to enlarge Description For Consideration is a Rare Antique Early Patent 19th Century, c.1880’s Brass, Wolf’s Miners Safety Lamp Company made in Germany Ca. 1880 This Antique Wolf’s Minors Lamp is a very early example with the Patent numbers stamped around the circumference. These lamps were soon imported to New York where the were distributed to Mining company all over the United States. This Safety Lamp/Lantern measures 10.5 inches tall and 14.5 inches with the hanging hook raised. Condition is commensurate with age and everything seems intact (note images). This came from a large lantern collection we purchased about 30 years ago and have been on display in a private Private Museum in Worcester, Ma ever since. These early patent Marked “Made in Germany” Models are becoming very scarce!
